Evans GP is pleased to confirm that Ben Nguyen will contest the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship with the team, continuing his progression following a positive winter campaign in Formula Trophy and the UAE4 Series.

The 17-year-old Vietnamese driver made his first appearance with Evans GP during the 2025 Formula Trophy UAE support races at the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where he gained 12 positions across the two races and demonstrated consistent top-12 pace on his first outing at Yas Marina Circuit.

Nguyen then competed with Evans GP for Rounds 1 and 4 of the 2026 UAE4 Series, gaining further track time and developing his racecraft in a highly competitive 39-car field. These performances marked a solid introduction to Formula 4 competition with the team.

Nguyen will compete in the 2026 F4 SEA Championship, which will take place at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, Chang International Circuit in Buriram, and the technically demanding Bangsaen Street Circuit.

Nguyen joins Rafael Vaessen in Evans GP’s 2026 F4 SEA driver line-up, with the team expected to announce its remaining two drivers in the coming weeks.

Joshua Evans, Team Principal, Evans GP: “Ben made good improvements throughout his time with us in Formula Trophy and the UAE4 Series, developing his racecraft and improving his adaptability. We’re looking forward to having him back with us for F4 SEA, which will give him a solid platform to continue this positive momentum.”

Ben Nguyen: “I’m really happy to be continuing with Evans GP for selected rounds of the F4 South East Asia Championship. My first races with the team in Formula Trophy and the UAE4 Series were a big learning experience, and I felt comfortable working with the engineers straight away. Racing in F4 SEA is a fantastic opportunity to keep building on my consistency and confidence.”

More drivers for Evans GP’s F4 SEA programme will be announced in due course.
